QUESTIONS WE HEAR EVERY DAY
Can’t find your answer below? Call or WhatsApp us, we’re always available.
Can mobile tyre repair fix punctures, or do you only replace tyres?
Not every damaged tyre needs replacing, and a good technician will always be honest with you about this. If the puncture is within the central three-quarters of the tread and no bigger than 6mm, it can almost always be repaired safely to British Standard BS AU 159. Where it gets tricky is sidewall damage, large gashes, or tyres that have been driven on while flat. In those cases, a repair just isn't safe and replacement is the right call. At RH Mobile Tyre Tyre, we inspect every tyre properly before recommending anything. You'll always get an honest answer, not just the more expensive one.
How quickly can a mobile tyre technician reach me?
In most cases, we aim to reach you within the hour. When you call, we will give you a realistic ETA based on your location and our team availability at that moment. We do not give vague estimates just to keep you calm. You will know when to expect us so you can stay safe while you wait. If you are in an exposed or unsafe spot, let us know when you call and we will prioritise getting to you as fast as possible.
What are the benefits of using a mobile tyre repair service instead of going to a garage?
The biggest one is that you do not have to go anywhere. Driving to a garage on a damaged or flat tyre is genuinely risky and can turn a repairable tyre into one that needs replacing. With Road Hero Tyre, our technician comes to you at home, at work, or on the roadside, fully equipped to carry out the repair or replacement on the spot. There is no waiting room, no arranging a lift, and no wasted time. The quality of work is exactly the same as a garage. The only difference is we bring the garage to you.
What information do I need when booking a mobile tyre repair?
Not much at all. When you call or book online, just have your location ready, your vehicle make and model, and ideally your tyre size if you know it. The tyre size is printed on the sidewall of your existing tyre, something like 205/55 R16. If you cannot find it or are not sure what you are looking at, do not worry, just tell us the car details and we can work it out. That is genuinely all we need to get a technician booked and on their way to you.
What should I do if I get a flat tyre on the roadside?
First, do not panic and do not keep driving on it. If you can, pull over somewhere safe away from moving traffic, put your hazard lights on, and if you have a high visibility vest in the car, put it on before getting out. Stay behind the barrier if you are on a motorway or dual carriageway. Once you are safe, call us and tell us your location. We will take care of everything from there. You do not need to attempt a roadside repair yourself or wait hours for a recovery truck. We come to you, sort the tyre, and get you moving again.
